The portal menu matches your view from the first page after sign-in
After signing in, operators could see the customer menu on their first page, and a passkey sign-in on a new browser opened Workloads. Both now follow the view saved with your account, and the menu highlights the page you are on.
Three things about the portal’s top bar and where sign-in takes you were wrong, and all three are fixed.
The wrong menu on the first page
A node operator who signed in landed on their dashboard, as they should, but that first page showed Viewing as My Workloads with the customer links above it. The next page they opened was right. The same one-page mismatch happened when you opened an operator page directly in a browser that had last used the customer view, or the other way round.
The menu now follows the page being shown, from the first page on.
Passkey sign-in opened Workloads
On a new browser, or after clearing cookies, signing in with a passkey opened Workloads even for node operators. Passkey sign-in now chooses your landing page in the same order as password sign-in, described in Signing in takes you to the part of the portal you use: the last view you switched to, then what you chose at sign-up, then a best guess for older accounts.
The menu shows where you are
The top bar never marked the current page. It now highlights it, and announces it to screen readers.
- A workload’s detail page highlights Workloads.
- The usage page highlights Insights.
- Settings and profile pages highlight nothing, because they belong to neither view.
Limits
We tested the passkey fix against a stand-in for the sign-in service, not with a real passkey in a browser. If a passkey sign-in still opens the wrong view for you, tell us.
