Operators with no check-in for 7 days now leave every leaderboard
Metro leaderboards and top-5 lists kept showing operators whose nodes had stopped checking in, some since June. Every board now lists only operators whose nodes have genuinely checked in within the last 7 days.
If your node hasn’t checked in for 7 days, it isn’t ranked. That rule already applied to the main ranking, but several other boards ignored it, so operators whose nodes had gone quiet kept their places on them. Some had been listed that way since June. Every board now follows the rule.
What was wrong
- Metro leaderboards, the Top 5 and the Community page’s metro top 5 didn’t check for recent activity, so they kept listing operators the main ranking had already dropped.
- Operators whose nodes had disappeared from the network kept their last rank, instead of dropping off.
- Registering a node again counted as activity, even if the node never checked in afterwards.
What is true now
- Only nodes that have actually checked in within the last 7 days appear on a board. Registering again doesn’t count; a real check-in does.
- On a metro leaderboard, each node is judged on its own, so a node that has gone quiet leaves the board even if your other nodes are still running.
- Rank trends follow the same rule, so the trend you see matches the board.
What you need to do
Nothing. If your node has been offline, bring it back: after its next check-in it returns to the boards when they next refresh, which happens every hour.
