The edge node's source is now public for review

AddedEdge Node

The Node Core of the edge node is now readable at evolving-edge/edge-node-agent under MPL-2.0, published so security teams and operators can see for themselves what a node does with the content it serves.

The Node Core of the edge node is published at evolving-edge/edge-node-agent under MPL-2.0. It covers lifecycle management, peer discovery, transport, workload caching and serving, and telemetry — the parts that handle your content.

Two things are not in it, for two different reasons. The Closed Handler Modules stay proprietary and are excluded by build constraint rather than by hand. One further file, the node’s self-updater, is held back because its current implementation checks a downloaded binary against a checksum and no signature, and publishing it as it stands would be a roadmap rather than a disclosure. Self-update is a no-op stub in that build.

The repository is published for review rather than for contributions. Issues and questions are welcome; the code itself is developed privately and republished, so pull requests there aren’t the path.

Read the code that touches your content covers what to read first, how to build it, and what reading the source does and doesn’t prove.
