Referrals now qualify on real connected uptime, for both operators

ChangedPortal

Referral qualification now counts real connected uptime — 1,440 hours on a single node — and both the referrer and the operator they referred have to reach it. Everyone's hours start again from zero, so the earliest any referral can qualify is around mid-November 2026.

A referral bonus is earned once a node has been online long enough. The referral terms have always put that at 1,440 hours of connected uptime, the equivalent of 60 active days. What the system actually counted was different, and that has now been put right.

It counts hours, not days you appeared. The old counter recorded each date a node checked in at least once, so a node online for a minute a day earned a full day towards the bonus. Qualification now uses time the node was genuinely connected and available for work.

How the time is credited. Uptime accrues between a node’s regular check-ins. A single missed check-in still counts, so an ordinary blip costs you nothing. A node that disappears for a week is not credited for the time it was away, and partial days are never rounded up.

One node, not several added together. The 1,440 hours must accumulate on a single node. Two machines running side by side don’t combine, and your best node is the one that counts.

Both sides have to qualify now. Previously only the referred operator’s uptime was checked, so someone could refer people without running a node themselves. A referral is now credited once both the referrer and the person they referred have reached the requirement.

There’s no deadline, and progress is never lost. The hours don’t have to be consecutive, and a bonus waiting on the other party is deferred rather than forfeited. If your referred operator qualifies first, the bonus is credited when you reach the requirement too.

Everyone’s hours start from zero. The old count measured something different, so there was no honest way to convert it into hours. Counting started on 17 September 2026, which means the earliest any referral can qualify is around mid-November 2026. If your referral progress looks like it went backwards, this is why.

Your own progress and each referred operator’s progress towards the 1,440 hours are shown on the Refer page in the portal, along with an estimated bonus date. The full terms open from that page.

Correction, 19 September 2026: this entry first described a qualifying referral as “paid”. The bonus is credited to your balance. Payouts are never automatic — money moves only when you request a payout.
